This bench was created for the Ōita Prefectural Art Museum using shichitō-i—a rush plant traditionally cultivated in Ōita for making tatami mat surfaces. The legs and base were constructed by combining L-shaped cross-section laminated bamboo members.

大分県立美術館のために、大分県で伝統的に畳表として生産された七島藺を使ったベンチを作った。脚や台座はL型の断面(アングル)の竹集成材を組み合わせて作った。
